Hello and thanks for visiting

Greetings. I’m Kurt Buss, and I’ve been writing, off and on, for various publications and purposes since attending UW-Milwaukee back in the early 80s. Long ago. Before computers. I was one of the founding editors of The Crazy Shepherd “ragazine” which came out in May 1982, and is still publishing as the Shepherd Express in Milwaukee, one of the country’s remaining weekly alternative newspapers. Many of the early articles can be found under The Crazy Shepherd Years.

More recently, I chronicled my experiences living out of a vintage camper in northern Colorado and New Mexico for over a year, which was a very unique and often enchanting adventure. I called it the Rocky Mountain Rubber Tramp. I hope you have time to scroll through and find something that lights a similar spark for wanderlust. It’s a tonic for the times, to be able to escape the rat race and find some solace in the wild places. And it’s never too late.

Thanks again for visiting, and I’d love to hear from you in the comments if you feel so inclined.
